4 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech

In the morning after breakfast, your driver will come to pick you up from your hotel or riad in Fes. You will start your journey heading south, leaving the busy streets of the city and moving towards the peaceful mountains.

The first stop will be in Ifrane, a very clean and quiet town that looks more like Europe than Morocco. The houses have red roofs, and the streets are very organized. Many people call it the Switzerland of Morocco. You can walk a little, take photos, and enjoy the fresh air.

After that, you continue to the Cedar Forest near Azrou. This forest is famous for its big cedar trees and wild monkeys. You will have time to stop, walk around, take pictures, and maybe feed the monkeys if they come close.

Then the journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you will see small Berber villages and beautiful landscapes. Around midday, you will arrive in Midelt, a small town known for apples. Here you will stop for lunch and rest a bit.

In the afternoon, you will drive through the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Morocco. You will see thousands of palm trees, old villages, and green fields. There will be stops for photos to enjoy this amazing view.

By late afternoon, you will reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, your camel will be waiting for you. You will start your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. The ride takes about 1 hour, and you will enjoy the sunset over the dunes, which is a very special moment.

When you arrive at the desert camp, you will be welcomed with tea. After that, you will have dinner, listen to Berber music with drums, and enjoy the quiet night under a sky full of stars. You will sleep in a comfortable private tent in the middle of the desert.

You will wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes. The colors of the sky and the silence of the desert make this moment unforgettable.

After breakfast, you will start a desert exploration by 4x4 car. The first visit is Khamlia village, where people originally from Mali live. They are famous for their Gnawa music. You will enjoy a small music show and drink tea with them.

Then, you continue to visit a nomad family living in the desert. They will welcome you into their tent and share tea with you. You will see how simple and peaceful their life is, far from the city.

Next, you will visit the old M’fis mines, where people used to work searching for minerals. After that, you may also see the seasonal lake of Dayet Srij, where flamingos sometimes come if there is water.

For lunch, you will try a local dish like Berber pizza in a small village or local house.

In the afternoon, you return to your hotel near the dunes where you can relax, swim (if the hotel has a pool), or try sandboarding. If you want, you can do another camel ride.

In the evening, you will enjoy another dinner, music, and a peaceful night in the desert. You can sleep in the camp or hotel depending on your choice.

After breakfast and a shower, you will leave the desert and continue your journey towards the mountains.

The first stop will be Rissani, a traditional town with a local market. If it is market day, you will see many local people buying and selling animals, vegetables, spices, and clothes. It is a very authentic place.

Then, you drive to Tinghir, a town surrounded by palm trees and mountains. After that, you will arrive at the famous Todra Gorge. This place is very impressive, with very high rock walls and a small river between them. You will have time to walk, relax, and take photos.

After lunch, you continue to the Dades Valley. On the way, you will see beautiful landscapes, old kasbahs, and rock formations called “monkey fingers”.

In the evening, you arrive at your hotel in Dades Valley. You will have dinner and breakfast included. You can relax, enjoy the calm atmosphere, and maybe take a short walk around the area.

After breakfast, you start your last day of the journey towards Marrakech.

You will pass through the Roses Valley and Skoura Oasis, where you will see palm trees, gardens, and small villages. Then you arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco because many movies were filmed there.

After that, you continue to Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk inside the old village made of clay, explore the narrow streets, and enjoy amazing views from the top.

Then, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. The road is very beautiful with many curves and mountain views. There will be stops along the way for photos and rest.

By late afternoon or evening, you arrive in Marrakech. Your driver will drop you at your hotel or riad. Your 4-day tour ends here with unforgettable memories.
